DuroForce™ Ultra

DuroForce™ Ultra is made from ultra-high molecular weight polyethylene, amorphous silica, and specially formulated oil, and offers excellent puncture and oxidation resistance for increased life of flooded lead-acid batteries.

DuroForce™ Ultra offers a multitude of advantages for automotive lead-acid battery manufacturers, such as high puncture and oxidation resistance, high porosity and wettability, low acid displacement, and low electrical resistance. Even with a backweb as low as 0.150 μm, DuroForce™ Ultra features high functionality without loss of mechanical strength.

DuroForce™ CL

DuroForce™ CL offers excellent oxidation resistance with low black residue for major industrial lead-acid battery manufacturers. It is made from ultra-high molecular weight polyethylene, amorphous silica, and clean oil, resulting in low black residue for use in traction and stationary battery applications.

DuroForce™ CL offers a multitude of advantages for major industrial lead-acid battery manufacturers, such as excellent oxidation resistance, high volume porosity, high mechanical strength, low acid displacement, low black residue from leachable oils, and low electrical resistance.

DuroForce™ HD

DuroForce™ HD separator provides enhanced performance in many important applications, such as renewable energy and backup power. It is made from ultra-high molecular weight polyethylene, amorphous silica, specially formulated clean oil, and a highly engineered additive package. It provides improved cycling characteristics in several applications.

Best suited for motive and certain deep-cycle applications, DuroForce™ HD offers a multitude of advantages for golf cars, aerial work platforms, and much more. These include reduction of the effect of antimony poisoning, high oxidation and puncture resistance, low electrical resistance and low black residue, and enhanced performance.

CellForce®

CellForce® combines the advantages of a rubber separator with the versatility of a PE separator. CellForce® is made from ultra-high molecular weight polyethylene, amorphous silica, specifically formulated clean oil, and a very specific, porous, vulcanized hard rubber. This formulation offers the advantages of suppression of antimony poisoning, lowered battery maintenance, use of antimony in positive grids, and more versatility for manufacturing.

CellForce® is a hybrid rubber/PE battery separator designed for industrial traction and deep discharge cycling in lead-acid battery applications. The highly flexible CellForce® combines the strength and handling characteristics of PE with the electrochemical advantages and reliability of rubber. This enables the battery assembly process to be more flexible while enhancing battery cycle life by positively affecting top-of-charge voltages and reducing normal in-service maintenance.

Flex-Sil®

Flex-Sil® is made from natural rubber, amorphous silica, and other minor ingredients. Introduced in 1978, Flex-Sil® quickly became the battery separator of choice for many deep-cycle applications where the battery needed to overcome antimony poisoning, and is still the best option to increase battery performance and decrease maintenance costs.

Flex-Sil® is the preferred separator in the electric golf car market, renewable energy, and other heavy-duty, deep-cycle applications. One of Flex-Sil’s primary advantages is its excellent antimony suppression, which results in improved battery cycling, lower end-of-charge current, less gassing, less water loss, and reduced and easier battery maintenance.

Ace-Sil®

Ace-Sil® has been the industry’s leading premium separator for nearly 80 years. With a life expectancy of up to 20+ years, Ace-Sil® is ideal for backup power applications used in telecommunications infrastructures, nuclear power plants, and military facilities. In use since 1934, Ace-Sil® is the only battery separator qualified by the U.S. Federal Energy Regulatory Commission (FERC) for use in certain nuclear applications.

Ace-Sil® is formulated from natural rubber, amorphous silica, sulfur, and other minor ingredients. Sulfur vulcanized to hard rubber form, Ace-Sil® is commonly utilized in float or standby applications for flooded lead-acid batteries with life expectancies of 20+ years. Process refinements have enabled patterns and thinner backwebs that lower electrical resistance and improve electrolyte mobility. Permanent wettability gives low resistance instantly upon exposure to even higher gravity electrolytes. Ace-Sil® offers superior physical characteristics for extended life.
